This is reputedly the largest bell foundry in the world and one of only 2 in the UK. The Hovis Buildings![]() A current project...the old Hovis buildings are to be demolished to make way for new flats and a heritage centre. The mill closed some years ago and the work will begin in the summer. For now it is empty except for its complex web of piping and machinery, too large and awkward to move from the buildings. Winner of numerous awards, in 2009 it celebrated its 25th anniversary and to date has needed no repairs whatsoever. Ignorant Bliss in Barbados![]() A truly beautiful house built in 2003 on the west coast of Barbados. The house is always cooled by the breezes that come down the gully above which it has been built, together with its heat reducing glass and full air-conditioning. This must be one of the most desirable properties on the island and can be rented out in the near future. Contact dg@gilliepixels.com or phone me to find more details. | ![]() |
